This is an original Wassily Lounge Chair, model B3, initially designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925. It has cognac brown leather upholstery and a chromed-steel frame that is tubular in nature, emblematic of Breuer's best-known works.
This particular example appears to be made by Thonet or another quality manufacturer, but is not by Knoll or Gavina based on our assessment. The chair does have welded end caps, but the detailing underneath doesn't seem to match typical Knoll or Gavina examples. It has high quality belting leather, which appears to be original to the piece. Thonet offered this piece in their catalog throughout the 1960s and 1970s, so it seems Thonet production is most likely.
There is some patina on the frame, and some slight cloudiness to the finish. There are a few scant spots on the leather, which has caramelized nicely. Overall, this chair presents beautifully with some signs of use. Please see photos.
